John Knox Preschool is a non-profit, half-day school at John Knox Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Great Northern Boulevard and Lorain Road. We have provided education in a caring Christian environment since 1967 — for church members, friends and neighbourhood families alike.
Because we stay small, your child is never a face in a crowd. Teachers know every child’s name, temperament and pace by the second week, and parents get a real conversation at pick-up instead of a newsletter.

Our mission is a loving, caring Christian environment that helps children grow mentally, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
Genuinely small classes
Twelve children in our three-year-old class, fourteen in pre-K — each with at least two qualified teachers on the floor.
Hands-on discovery
Children explore learning centres independently and in cooperative play before moving on to guided, structured lessons.
Kindergarten-ready
Letters, phonics, numbers, colours, shapes and spatial concepts — the real foundations for a confident kindergarten year.
Room to move
Large-muscle activities every single day: riding trucks, big blocks, dancing, jogging and music-and-movement time.
Experienced staff
A director, head teacher, classroom aide and classroom volunteer — all qualified educators who keep current with best practice.
Two half-day programs. One very happy classroom.
Classes meet September through mid-May, and follow the North Olmsted City School calendar for breaks and days off.
